The Drowned Rat Waterproof Kilt
The material is Ripstop nylon, coated with neoprene rubber. The fabric was originally developed as a military specification fabric where special forces required waterproof linings that were light and strong, and is a unique material to only available to specific manufacturers.
The further beauty of the Rat is that it folds up smaller than a sandwich and fits neatly into a jacket pocket. At the first sign of inclement weather, it can be quickly unpacked, wrapped around the waist and fixed with its Velcro fastener.
